About

I am a Sussex based potter making one-off pieces and small collections.

My work largely explores the beauty in decay - how age, weathering and imperfection can still be beautiful. This theme is deeply rooted in a close family member’s battle with dementia, it has provided me a way to express my grief and continues to shape my practice.

Since moving to Sussex, the local landscape has deeply influenced me. I’ve always been connected to water and the sea, but the South Downs has provided me with a sense of peace that I can’t find on the beach.  To bring this place into my work, I have been collecting wild clays and rocks whilst walking on the downs, and have been experimenting with ways I can incorporate them into my work.
